b _
SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION
We anticipate completing the field portion of this project within three weeks of
approval of this work plan and subsequent boring permits. We expect it will take
an additional week to 10 working days to receive laboratory test results.
Analytical results of soil samples taken will be submitted to the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department as part of Teichert's "Corrective Action
Plan".
In my opinion we are potentially looking at two distinct events. The first is
contamination in the area of the old asphalt tank farm. This is the soil that
is in the ex-situ pile, and can be addressed using bio-remediation. The
second event is the potential in-situ plume. We need to have a boring
permit in order to identify the plume and the levels of contamination within
the plume. A retired employee has provided potential locations for drilling
and these locations will be identified by GPS as drilling proceeds. Once
the plume is identified and characterized a voluntary plan for cleanup will
be submitted for comment and anticipated approval.
I
h
i
