' January 11 , 2000 ICES 2289 <br /> I <br />' SITE INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> INDEPENDENT TRUCKING/DELTA PAPER FACILITY <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' This report presents the findings of a site investigation ( "the <br /> investigation" ) that was conducted by Innovative and Creative <br /> Environmental Solutions (ICES) at the independent Trucking/Delta <br />' Paper facility located at 401 South Lincoln Street in Stockton, <br /> California ( "the Site" , Figure 1) <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to assess the extent of the <br />' petroleum-affected soil and groundwater which were encountered <br /> during a previous site investigation and underground storage tank <br /> (UST) removal activities that were conducted at the Site San. <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC-EHD) provided <br /> oversight for the site investigation activities <br /> 2 .0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The Site is located on the west side of South Lincoln Street <br /> between West Sonora and Church Streets Independent Trucking and <br /> the Delta Paper facility formerly occupied the Site <br /> Two adjoining warehouses are located at the northeastern portion <br />' <br /> of the Site A trailer is located at the northwest corner of the <br /> Site One conveyor and shredder machine is located at the <br /> western portion of the Site One transformer was located along <br />' the western perimeter of the Site <br />' 3 .0 BACKGROUND <br /> A preliminary site investigation was performed by Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental Inc (AGI) in July 1999 A total of two soil <br />' samples and three grab groundwater samples were collected from <br /> four borings at a depth of approximately 13 feet to 21 feet below <br /> the existing ground surface (bgs) Based on the results of the <br /> limited site investigation, it appeared that the underlying <br /> sediments and groundwater at the northern portion of the Site, <br /> lop and soil and groundwater located approximately at the central <br /> 1 <br />
