In addition, PHSIEHD has received facimile draft copies of
analysis of groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells (MW) at the site
on April 21, 2000.
The boring logs for MW2 and MW3 contained in the report do not have the
correct date drilled, corrected boring logs should be submitted to PHSIEHD. In
addition, boring logs should be made for the replacement welllborings drilled on
February 3, 2000 and March 13, 2000 for MW1 and MW3. These boring logs
should be submitted immediately.
The report recommends conducting a survey of local wells. A survey of all wells
located within 2000 radial feet of the site should be conducted. The Department
of Water Resources should be contacted to determine if they have information
(well logs) indicating the location and construction of wells within 2000 radial feet
of this site. Any commercial, industrial, school or residential sites that have wells
should be contacted for information. A physical search of the area may be
necessary to determine who should be contacted. The addresses of the wells
identified, a map showing the locations of the wells identified with respect to the
location of the site and any construction details of the wells identified should be
submitted to PHSIEHD in the next quarterly report. The quarterly report should
be submitted by July 10, 2000.
Groundwater samples were collected and analyzed from two of the three
drinking water wells at this site on March 11, 1999. Petroleum hydrocarbons and
fuel oxygenates were not detected in the samples collected from these wells. All
three of the drinking water wells at this site should be sampled and analyzed for
petroleum hydrocarbons and oxygenates on a quarterly basis. The samples
should be collected from each well head. The wells should be allowed to flow for
a minimum of 15 minutes before sampling to insure that the samples reflect the
water quality of the source.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
