INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the request of Mr.Franklyn Cole;Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has
prepared this Proposal for Installation and operation of In-Situ Vapor Extraction System for
Remediation of Hydrocarbon-impacted Soil at 7505 West Linne Road in Tracy,California.
Two underground storage-tanks (USTs) were formerly located on the property. Analysis of soil
samples collected beneath the dispenser island indicated that petroleum hydrocarbons were present
in soil at the site at concentrations up to48,000 pares per million(ppm).
An assessment of the site was performed and hydrocarbon-impaeted soil was encountered at depths
to 35 feet below surface grade(bsg). In October 1992,two soil vapor exu-action(SVE)wells were
installed at the site. An SVE pilot test was performed and a Corrective Action Plan (CAP)was
prepared by AGE. The CAP recommended installation of art.. SVE system and possibly one
additional SVE well. The CAP indicated that a thermal oxidation unit(capable of 100 to 200 sefm)
should be utilized at the site and estimated an 18-month cleanup period. A more comprehensive
ba&ground on the site history is provided in the CAP prepared by AGE.
Z.O. SCOPE OF WORK AND ESTIMATED COSTS
The ret nediation services include preparation of a Remedial Action Work Plan(RAWP),permitting,
design and implementation of remediation system, operation and maintenance, and periodical
reporting of the progress to the regulatory agency.
