L n
V
was detected in samples B1-15 and B2-20 below regulatory limits. Analytical results are
summarized on Table 1.
Clayey silts were encountered to a depth of 18 feet in both borings. Poorly sorted gravels
and gravelly sands were encountered from 18 feet to 31 feet. Alternating beds of silts, sands,
gravels and clays were encountered between 31 feet and the bottom of boring B-1 (45 feet).
No water was encountered during drilling.
2.4 Groundwater Depth and Gradient
The Weil Completion Report for a domestic water well drilled in January 1992 states that
water was encountered near the site at a depth of 54 feet. According to the San Joaquin
County Flood Control Map (Fall 1990), regional groundwater gradient in the area is
northerly.
TABLE 1
ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES
7505 West Linne Road
(mg/kg)
Sample TPH as Ethyl- Total
ID Gasoline Benzene Toluene benzene Xylenes Lead
B I-15 13,000 34 770 420 2,400 12.0
BI-30 4 0.90 6.9 0.7 4.3 NA
BI-45 ND ND ND ND ND NA
B2-20 4,500 23 420 160 9,900 7.0
B2-25 2,100 10 180 73 440 NA
B2-35 1 3 1.1 0.18 0.62 3.7 NA
mg&g = parts per million(ppm)
ND = N-mf.Petvcted
NA = Not Aoa4wd
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
Further investigation is necessary to determine the lateral extent of hydrocarbon impacted
soil. GeoAudit proposes to drill two additional soil borings at the site to determine the
extent of impacted soil. One soil boring will be drilled north of the former dispenser area,
near the former USTs. A second boring will be drilled south of the former dispenser area
The proposed locations are illustrated on Figure 2.
