• FALL CREEK <br /> ENGINEERING,INC. <br /> FCE has performed salt balance calculations to estimate the expected reduction in salt in <br /> the effluent by installing a RO unit. The results are presented in Table 2. As shown in <br /> Table 2 the final effluent TDS concentration will be reduced substantially by installing an <br /> RO unit. Although water use at the facility will increase, the total TDS load in pounds <br /> per day will be reduced from approximately 353 lbs/day to 237 lbs/day. The projected <br /> average effluent concentration will be reduced from approximately 1,400 mg/L to 731 <br /> mg/L. <br /> Table 1.
