(FCE) has
prepared this letter to inform you that recently installed flow meter on the influent line to
the wastewater treatment ponds is not operating properly. Apparently, the meter installed
at the plant was not calibrated for intermittent flows and the control panel was damaged.
Therefore, the influent flow measurements have been higher than actual flows. The
problems were defermined after comparing influent and effluent flow values. For
example the flow measurements for April and May 2003 are presented below:
Month Influent Effluent Difference
April 1,215,000 gal 981,700 gal 20%
May 1,145,000 gal 848,400 gal 26%
The meter and control panel are planned to be repaired in the coming week. The repair
will be noted on the monthly monitoring report. Thank you for your attention in this
matter. If you have any questions, please call me at (831) 426-9054 or Alice Gonzales, at
Alpine Meats at(209) 477-2691 ext. 245.
rely,
PEERHAASE, P.E.
Principal Engineer
cc: Alice Gonzales, Stockton
Mike Huggins, Stockton
