We in icated in our last response that the remaining items would be complete by
September 8, 2011. We ar happy to report that the Hazardous Waste Training Plan is complete. A copy is
attached for your review.
We are still awaiting the la oratory test results due to the fact that additional testing was required to fully
determine whether the me als fines material is an actual hazardous waste. The laboratory is making their best
effort to complete the resul S. However, part of the testing had to be subcontracted and the laboratory we are
using has little control over he subcontracted laboratory. Our solution to this delay is to handle the metal fines
material as a hazardous wa to unless or until the laboratory testing proves otherwise.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to send me an email or call me at (209) 948-0302.
Sincerely,
Steve Azevedo
California Environmental Manager
Knifer River Corporation
(209) 948-0302
kniferiver.com
9/6/2011
