AGS -87050-1 <br /> -USA Station #65, Lodi, California <br /> Soil samples collected for possible chemical analyses will -be <br /> sealed with aluminum foil, plastic caps, and air-tight tape. The <br /> samples will then be -'labeled and immediately placed in iced <br /> storage for transport to Applied GeoSysteims ' -analytical <br /> laboratory for testing. <br /> The soil borings will be drilled to a depth of approximately 60 <br /> feet or 20 feet belowthe upper zone of saturation. Soil borings <br /> will not penetrate any saturated clay layer (aquitard) that is at <br /> least 5 feet thick. All drill cuttings generated during drilling <br /> will be left at- the site and remain -the responsibility of USA <br /> Petroleum. Applied GeoSystems - can arrange to have the soil <br /> removed to an appropriate disposal facility with USA Petroleum' s <br /> authorization. -Applied GeoSystems will contact Underground . <br /> Services Alert (USA) to delineate public utility .lines at the <br /> site before we begin drilling. " <br /> MONITORING WELL CONSTRUCTION <br /> The monitoring wells will be constructed of thread-jointed 2-inch <br /> ` I .D. schedule -40 polyvinyl.. chloride (PVC) casing. No chemical <br /> cements, glues, or solvents will be used in well construction. <br /> The screened portion of the wells will consist of factory- <br /> perforated 0. 020-inch- slotted casing.
