Groundwater
elevations in the monitoring wells increased 0.27 to 1.01 feet since the first quarter 2003 sampling event.
Depth to water measurements were normalized to mean sea level (MSL), and were used to construct a
groundwater elevation contour map (Figure 2). The general groundwater flow direction on April 10,
2003, was calculated to be towards the south at an average gradient of 0.002 ft/ft. South-southeast
groundwater flow direction has consistently been observed during previous monitoring events.
TPHG was detected in well MW-4 (120 µg/L). Benzene was detected in wells MW-8 and S-1 with the
highest concentration (0.96 ig/L) found in well S-1. MTBE was detected in wells MW-3, MW-4, and S-1,
with the highest concentration (4.7 µg/L) detected in well MW-3. No other fuel oxygenate compounds
were detected in any of the wells. Analytical results from the April 10, 2003, sampling event are
generally consistent with historical analytical data. TPHG, benzene, and MTBE data have been
summarized on Figure 3.
ATTACHMENTS:
• Table 1 Groundwater Elevation and Analytical Summary
• Table 2 Groundwater Analytical Results for Oxygenates
• Figure 1 Site Location Map
• Figure 2 Groundwater Elevation Contour Map (Second Quarter 2003)
• Figure 3 Groundwater Analytical Summary (Second Quarter 2003)
• Appendix A Field Data Sheets
• Appendix B Sampling and Analysis Procedures
• Appendix C Certified Analytical Reports and Chain-of-Custody Documentation
L
P:IUSA Gasoline10065\"rly120031USA_65_2Q03.DOC 5T"Wo
