1 INTRODUCTION
On behalf of USA, Pinnacle Environmental Solutions, a division of EMCON (Pinnacle)
has prepared this Remedial Action Plan (RAP) based on the guidelines provided by the
San Joaquin County Public Health Department (SJCPHD). As part of the RAP, Pinnacle
has evaluated the economical and technical feasibility of the remedial alternatives
available for the site. The primary objective of the RAP is to analyze the site specific
data gathered, and assess alternatives capable of providing timely site closure.
Alternatives capable of remediating the petroleum hyrdocarbon impact to the soil and
groundwater at the site have been compared with respect to site specific factors such as,
extent of impact, local.hydrology, physical constraints, implementability, effectiveness
and cost. The remedial alternatives evaluated during the feasibility study are as follows:
soil vapor extraction and air sparging, groundwater extraction and treatment,
bioremediation, and installation of containment barriers.
ESJ:IE:\USA100651REPORT510065P201.DOC-9811sg:1 Rev.0, 1/26/99
20A41-007.001 1-1
