Lodi Ave . , Lodi , CA. On March 14 , 1995 four y
monitor wells were tested, MW4 , S1, S2 and MW8 (see Figure 3A-
3E) .
The vapor extraction system for this test utilized a regenerative
blower and carbon canisters with a flow capacity of 75 cubic feet
per minute (cfm) . A schematic of the Vapor Extraction unit is
shown `in Figure 5 . The carbon canisters were monitored regularly - -
- during the test to ensure that 'no untreated soil vapors vented to
the atmosphere .
Equipment :
EGLG Rotron Regenerative Blower, combined with two 180 lb. i
activated carbon canisters (CETCO, Aquatec Division MX200-V)
for. an emmisions control system (see Figure 5) . <.
1', vacuum and flow: The system was capable of developing up
to a maximum vacuum of 10 inches of Mercury ( "Hg) and
pressure of 10 psi . Flow rates shall be from 0 to 75 '
cfm. These conditions depend on soil conditions .
2:. Emissions Control System: The effluent vapor stream was
sent through two ' activated carbon' canisters in series .
The stack emmis'ions of the last carbon was monitored for
break thru' properties . These carbon canisters were
and an
' ld b a portable chromatograph
monitored in the fie pI
Y
HNu photoionization detector.
'f
3 .
