A GHH representative collected soil samples from the product line trenches and the area <br /> exposed during the UST removals. Soil samples from the product lines were collected at <br /> approximately 2-feet below dispenser plumbing and 3-feet below ground surface (bgs) at <br /> �. locations shown on Figure 3. The samples were collected at locations requested by Mr. Eric f <br /> Trevena with the County. A total of 10 soil samples were collected during product line sampling <br /> (P-1 through P-10). <br /> At the request of the County and based upon field data collected during the UST and product line <br /> } removal, additional excavating of soil in the UST area was conducted by USA. Field soil ; <br /> screening,was performed using a hand held Photo-Ionization Detector (PID), calibrated to 100 <br /> ' parts per million (ppm) Iso-Butylene. <br /> Over-excavation of impacted soil surrounding the USTs was completed on October 7, 1997. A <br /> total of 14 samples were collected at the base of the excavation (EXC-1 through EXC-14). <br /> { Samples were collected as directed by Mr. Harlan Knoll with the County. The excavation was f <br /> completed to 16-feet bgs, except for an area in the northeast corner where excavating continued F <br /> r to 20-feetbgs.
