Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2001 <br /> ' National Freight <br /> 2850 Loomis Road, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> ' At the request of MT Daniel Folcher of Vineland Construction Co ,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc (AGE)has prepared this report of environmental activities conducted at 2850 Loomis Road(the <br /> site), Stockton, California The scope of work this quarter included monitoring and sampling the <br /> three ground water monitoring wells on the site This report documents the procedures and results <br /> for the monitoring event The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1, <br /> major features and monitoring wells on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for investigations of underground storage tank (UST) <br /> sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells <br /> On 29 September 1998, two 12,000-gallon diesel USTs (Tank No 1 and Tank No 2), two fuel <br /> dispensers and all associated product piping were removed frons the site Laboratory analysis of soil <br /> '• samples collected beneath the former UST areas detected total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified <br /> as diesel(TPH-d) at concentrations up to 5,100 mg/kg (milligrams per kilogram) On 29 September <br /> 1999, two soil borings were advanced at the former UST location for collection of soil samples <br /> ' Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from the borings detected TPH-d at concentrations up <br /> to 10,000 mg/kg In addition, concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline <br /> (TPH-g),volatile aromatic hydrocarbons including benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes <br /> ' (BTEX),and the oxygenated ether methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE)were detectedin analyzed soil <br /> samples Results and procedures of the preliminary site investigation were presented in AGE's <br /> ' Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report, dated 12 October 1999 <br /> In August 2000, four additional soil borings were advanced at the site, three of the soil borings were <br />' completed as ground water monitoring wells Details of the soil boring and monitoring well <br /> installation were presented in Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2001, dated 27 October 2000, <br /> prepared by AGE <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> Ground water monitoring and sampling procedures were performed in accordarice with the <br /> AGE-prepared and PHS-EHD-approved Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, dated 09 June <br />' 2000 The work was performed to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations and <br />' Advanced GeoEnvirownental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
