1 <br /> • 21 November 2001 <br /> ' AGE-NC Project No 98-0497 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> ' 3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT <br /> Ground water elevations were determined by subtracting the measured depths-to-water from the <br /> surveyed casing elevations The groundwater elevation on 30 August 2001 was approximately 36 2 <br /> feet below mean sea level(ml), with the average depth to water at 61 1 feet below casing tops The <br /> average ground water elevation in the three wells had decreased 3 2 feet since the Iast ground water <br /> monitoring event Ground water is within the screened interval of each monitoring well <br /> The ground water gradient for the August 2001 monitoring event was inferred to be 0 003 feet/feet <br /> with a flow direction toward the northeast <br /> 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS FROM GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> The analytical results from the 30 August 2001 ground water sampling event are as follows <br /> TPH-g was detected in MW-I at a concentration of 630 micrograms per liter (µg/1) No <br /> BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples analyzed The laboratory <br /> report notes the presence of a sheen in the sample from MW-1 <br /> ' + TPH-d was detected at a concentration 27,000 gg/1 in the sample from well MW-1 The <br /> laboratory report notes the presence of a sheen in the sample from MW-1 <br /> + MTBE was not detected in the three ground water samples collected <br /> Laboratory results of water samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in <br /> Tables 2 and 3 Copies of the laboratory reports for the quarterly monitoring event (MAI Lab IDs <br /> 76701 through 76703), QA/QC reports and chain-of-custody form are in Appendix B <br /> 4.4 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> ' The findings of the 30 August 2001 groundwater monitoring event include the following <br /> + Contamination by TPH-g and TPH-d was encountered in groundwater samples collected and <br /> analyzed from MW-1 Concentrations of TPH-g and TPH-d appear to have stabilized since <br /> the March 2001 monitoring event <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnviironmental,Inc <br />
