'16 <br /> 30 March 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 98-0497 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> 1 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS FROM GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> The analytical results from the 15 March 2001 ground water sampling event are as follows <br />' 0 TPH-g was detected in NIW-1 at a concentration of 910 microgramsliter �µg er /l <br /> p ) <br /> Ethylbenzene and total xylenes were detected in the ground water sample from well MW-1 <br /> ' at concentrations of 1 3 µg/1 No other BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water <br /> samples analyzed TPH-g and BTEX compounds were not detected above laboratory <br /> 1reporting hunts in samples collected from MW-2 and MW-3 <br /> • TPH-d was detected at a concentration 29,000 µg/l in the sample from well MW-1 <br /> ' • Fuel oxygenates were not detected in the three ground water samples collected <br /> Laboratory results ofwater samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in Tables <br /> t 2 and 3 Copies of the laboratory reports for the quarterly monitoring event(MAI Lab ID Nos 62941 <br /> through 62943), QA/QC reports and chain-of-custody form are in Appendix B <br /> 4 0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> US ONS <br /> ' The findings of the 15 March 2001 site investigation events include the following <br />' • Contamination by TPH-g,TPH-d, ethylbenzene and total xylenes was encountered in ground <br /> water samples collected and analyzed from 1\4W-1 Concentrations of TPH-g and TPH-d <br /> were significantly lower than encountered during the previous monitoring event <br />' • MTBE and other fuel additives were not detected in samples collected from the groundwater <br /> monitoring network <br /> • Measured ground water elevation is approximately 32 3 feet below msl, and was within the <br /> screened interval of each monitoring well Groundwater flow direction was toward the east <br /> northeast with a gradient of 0 001 feet/feet Two previous monitoring events indicated flow <br />' direction to be toward the east or no observable gradient <br />' - 5.0.
