This letter serves as the Workplan for potential corrective action at the
site. Attached are the Masterfile Record Information Form, the site Health and Safety Plan, and the$390
fee for the CAP. It is our understanding that the$390 fee is based on an estimated 5 hours of.SJCPH field
time and that if the County does not require 5 hours for this project, the balance of the fee will be refunded.
Workplan
Shell will be removing two gasoline USTs from the site on or after April 24, 1996. After the tanks are
removed from the excavation, soil samples will be collected according to SJCPH guidelines. If significant
concentrations of hydrocarbons are encountered during the excavation, Shell may elect to overexcavate
native soil and stockpile the soil on site. The soils will be stockpiled on plastic sheeting at the site and,
covered with plastic sheeting. The.soil stockpile will be sampled and maintained for future treatment or
disposal. Two new USTs will be installed directly into the excavation.
Closing
We appreciate your assistance with this site. Please call if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Cambria Envi nmental Technology,Inc.
N.
