This work was performed in accordance with <br /> the Corrective Action Plan(CAP)prepared by PACIFIC,dated August 27,1996 and <br /> approved by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division(SJCEHD)as stated in <br /> their letter dated September 13,1996. This report includes a brief discussion of site <br /> background,previous investigations,proposed scope of work,findings,and <br /> conclusions. <br /> ) <br /> This letter also presents a work plan for the drilling and sampling of one soil boring. <br /> Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the northeast comer of East Main Street and F Street in Stockton, <br /> California,situated in the northeastern portion of the San Joaquin Valley(Figure 1,Site <br /> Location Map). It is our understanding that the site is owned by the Hinman Trust. <br /> The site is currently vacant. Formerly,Chevron Service Station 9-6258 operated at the <br /> site. The former facilities at the site included four underground storage tanks(USTs), <br /> associated underground piping and pump island,and a station building(Figure 2,Site <br /> Map).
