Chevron Products Company 2 <br /> Chevron Station#9-6258 2409 East Main Street at F Street Stockton California May 13,2002 <br /> information regarding the installation or removal of the gasoline USTs and associated <br /> facilities were available. <br /> A summary of previous investigations is included as Attachment B. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work proposed for this assessment includes the installation of one <br /> downgradient groundwater monitoring well and the completion of a sensitive receptor <br /> survey. <br /> The specific scope of work is discussed below. Field and laboratory procedures are <br /> presented as,Attachment C. <br /> Site Assessment <br /> DWR Well Survey. A 2,000 foot radius (Figure 1)Department of <br /> Water Resources (DWR) well survey will be performed. <br /> • Door-to-Door Well Search. A SECOR representative will perform <br /> a 2,000-foot radius door-to-door well search. Municipal water <br /> suppliers and nearby industries will.also be contacted for well <br /> information. Water wells located with the search. area will-be <br /> tabulated and referenced on a locator map. <br /> • Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation. One soil boring will <br /> be advanced at the locations shown.on Figure 2 using 8-inch <br /> diameter hollow-stem-augers to a,depth of approximately 65 feet <br /> below ground surface (bgs). Groundwater is expected to be <br /> encountered at approximately 50 feet bgs. Upon completion of <br /> drilling, a 2-inch diameter groundwater monitoring well will be <br /> installed in the boring. The well will be screened from <br /> approximately.5 feet above first encountered.groundwater to the <br /> bottom of the borehole. <br /> • Permitting.. The.applicable well permits for well installation will be <br /> obtained from San Joaquin County prior to drilling. <br /> • Soil Selection and Analysis. Soil Samples will be collected at 5-foot <br /> intervals. Selected soil samples will be sent under chain-of-custody <br /> procedures to a California state-certified laboratory for analysis of <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons'quantified as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA <br /> Method 8015, and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), <br /> and fuel oxygenates methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MtBE), tertiary-butyl <br /> alcohol (TBA), ethyl-tertiary butyl ether(EtBE), tertiary-amyl methyl <br /> ether(TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), methanol and ethanol by <br /> EPA Method 8260B. <br /> IAChevron\96258\REP0RTS\site SA work plan 2002.doc <br />
