Chevron Products Company 2
Chevron Station#9-6258 2409 East Main Street at F Street Stockton California May 13,2002
information regarding the installation or removal of the gasoline USTs and associated
facilities were available.
A summary of previous investigations is included as Attachment B.
PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work proposed for this assessment includes the installation of one
downgradient groundwater monitoring well and the completion of a sensitive receptor
survey.
The specific scope of work is discussed below. Field and laboratory procedures are
presented as,Attachment C.
Site Assessment
DWR Well Survey. A 2,000 foot radius (Figure 1)Department of
Water Resources (DWR) well survey will be performed.
• Door-to-Door Well Search. A SECOR representative will perform
a 2,000-foot radius door-to-door well search. Municipal water
suppliers and nearby industries will.also be contacted for well
information. Water wells located with the search. area will-be
tabulated and referenced on a locator map.
• Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation. One soil boring will
be advanced at the locations shown.on Figure 2 using 8-inch
diameter hollow-stem-augers to a,depth of approximately 65 feet
below ground surface (bgs). Groundwater is expected to be
encountered at approximately 50 feet bgs. Upon completion of
drilling, a 2-inch diameter groundwater monitoring well will be
installed in the boring. The well will be screened from
approximately.5 feet above first encountered.groundwater to the
bottom of the borehole.
• Permitting.. The.applicable well permits for well installation will be
obtained from San Joaquin County prior to drilling.
• Soil Selection and Analysis. Soil Samples will be collected at 5-foot
intervals. Selected soil samples will be sent under chain-of-custody
procedures to a California state-certified laboratory for analysis of
total petroleum hydrocarbons'quantified as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA
Method 8015, and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX),
and fuel oxygenates methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MtBE), tertiary-butyl
alcohol (TBA), ethyl-tertiary butyl ether(EtBE), tertiary-amyl methyl
ether(TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), methanol and ethanol by
EPA Method 8260B.
IAChevron\96258\REP0RTS\site SA work plan 2002.doc
