Marci
20 Mobile Lane
Crescent City, California 95531-8409
Subject: Marc! Property
2969 Loomis Road
Stockton, California 95205
Dear Mrs. Marci:
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) has received and reviewed
Work Plan Confirmation Groundwater Sampling (work plan), dated 28 February 2011,
prepared and submitted by your consulting firm, Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) for the above-
referenced site. The work plan was submitted in response to the EHD letter dated 11 January
2011 directing you to confirm a 'low-risk status' for closure of your site by sampling
groundwater between the source area of the petroleum hydrocarbon contamination and the
water supply wells in the down-gradient and obliquely down-gradient directions from. the
source area, the water supply wells within 600 feet of your site, and the on-site monitoring
wells MW-1, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6 and MW-7.
In the work plan, GTI proposes to:
Update the well survey completed in January 2011 by requesting well information
records from the Department of Water Resources (DWR) followed by a physical
reconnaissance to confirm the presence of water supply wells located within a 600-foot
radius of the site;
• Collect confirmational grab groundwater samples at proposed depth intervals between
65 and 95 feet below surface grade (bsg) using GeoProbes® technology at four
proposed sampling locations (GW-1 through GW-4) illustrated on Figure 2 of the work
plan;
• Collect confirmation groundwater-samples from the water supply wells located within
600 feet of the site based on DWR logs.and site reconnaissance;
• Collect groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-4 through MW-7;
and
• Analyze all groundwater samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D);
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); and naphthalene.
i
i
