Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
RE: Well Destruction: MUSD Ag Shop, 2901 E. Louise Avenue, Manteca, California
I M Per your letter dated December 11,_2002 to Manteca Unified School District, M.J.
Kloberdanz & "Associates has been contracted -to 'destroy'`tlie"'three groundwater'
monitoring wells at the above referenced facility. We will use the licensed drilling
company(C57-720904) V&W Drilling, Inc. to pressure grout the wells:
A pipe will be inserted in each of the 2-inch diameter by 30-foot deep wells in
order to displace the water.
The top of the well will be sealed to the pipe and neat cement with 5% bentonite
will be pumped into the wells forcing the mixture into the sand-pack that
surrounds the well casing perforations. Approximately 20 gallons of cement
mixture, or 26 cubic feet, will be used for each monitoring well.
The traffic boxes will be removed along with about one foot of well casing and
the hole will be capped with concrete.
M.J. Kloberdanz & Associates will supervise the work and provide a final report of the .
activities. A well destruction permit application is attached.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
I
Michael J. Kloberdanz, REA, REHS
M.J. Kloberdanz & Associates
cc: MUSD w/o permit application
