This report contains information pertaining to soil sampling results collected during the <br /> advancement of six soil borings and water sampling results from three of the soil borings completed as <br /> }_ monitoring wells. <br /> i:- <br /> 2 Well I ve to <br /> An inventory of existing domestic and mteAcipal water supply wells near the site was initiated on <br /> February 22, 1989, by a Delta representative at the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). <br /> According to DWR records,.25 water supply wells are present within a 111-mile-radius of the site <br /> 23 Site 111stor� <br /> Records from the San.Joaquin County Assessor's office indicate that the site Parcel No.is 077-33049,and <br /> that the land is owned by Y. C. Soda. Shell owns the station building, underground storage tanks, and <br /> piping. Mr. John Kindrick is the current station operator and has leased the facility from Shell for <br /> rxa <br /> # i approximately 11 years. <br /> t A praci,ion tank test was performed during the summer of 1987 by Hunter Environmental on the three <br /> former untcrground storage tanks. The results,as discussed with the owner,did not indicate a problem with <br /> I" the tightness of the tanks. However,due to the age of the steel underground storage tanks,Shell decided j <br /> to replace them with fiberglass tanks in December 1988. <br /> � I <br /> �., On December 20, 1988,four steel underground storage tanks were excavated and removed from the site. <br /> A tank closure report detailing tank removal activities was submitted to the SJLHD in Apri11989. Three <br /> to : <br /> - - new 10,000-gallon double-walled fiberglass underground storage tanks were installed on December 22,1998.-.----- <br /> .
