Corrective Action Plan <br /> 70 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The discussion under the following task items describe the proposed scope of work to be <br /> performed <br /> Task 1 Acquire Permits <br /> a) Wastewater Discharge Permit <br /> OST will obtain a permit from the City of Manteca Public Works Department to <br /> discharge treated groundwater into the City's sanitary sewer system if they are willing <br /> to accept the quantities estimated to be produced by the groundwater extraction system <br /> If a discharge permit is not possible, OST will apply to the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board for an NPDES permit to allow discharge into the storm <br /> drain system OST's groundwater treatment system is designed to meet the discharge <br /> requirements for either discharge destination <br /> b) Air Emission Permit <br /> A permit to discharge treated soil vapor will be obtained from the SJVUAPCD OST's <br /> treatment system will be designed to meet their requirements <br /> c) Miscellaneous Local Permits <br /> Prior to starting underground construction, OST will obtain all required well <br /> construction, underground construction, building, and electrical permits <br /> Task 2 Install SVE/Groundwater Co-Extraction Wells <br /> OST will install four SVE/groundwater co-extraction wells,EW-1,EW-2, EW-3, and EW-4, <br /> as specified under Section 5 1 The wells will be located as illustrated on the Remediation <br /> Site Map, Figure 5 <br /> Task 3 Install Subsurface Piping and Utilities <br /> a) OST will install the necessary trenching, piping, utility conduit, and well boxes, and <br /> restore the surface <br /> b) SVE/groundwater co-extraction wells EW-1.EW-2,EW-3, and EW-4,will be connected <br /> to the SVE treatment system with 2-inch-diameter PVC soil vapor transport piping and <br /> OST <br /> 701-1-2 cap Page 13 <br />
