n} —
z -
PENN
s `
MIN.
_ - --a
=o
a
f
Quarterly Ground--Water Monitoring January 31, 1989
'. Beacon Station No. 3-492, Manteca, California AGS 86102-3
for each respective contar, inant in drinking water, as recommended
by the California Department of health Services. Samples from
well MW-1, which contained floating product, weire not collected
or analyzed.
Because free product was observed in monitoring well MW-1,
Applied GeoSystems recommends that subjective analyses of water
from the wells be performed on a monthly basis. As an interim
remedial response, free product should be removed by bailing and
stored onsite in drums until the next sampling event. At that
time, the product should be removed with the purge water. We
also recommend thet Beacon Ail company a-.tempt to evaluate the
source of the free product, If free product continues to be
present in the monitoring wells, delineation and active
mttigation '.uay be necessary.
Copies of this report should be fe -war,]ed to Ms. Laurie Cotulla
of the San Joaquin County Local Health District, Environmental
Health Division, 1601 Hazelton Avenue, P.O. Box 2009, Stockton,
California 95201, and Mr. Gordon Lee Boggs of the California
Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region, 3443
Routier. Road, Sacramento, California `15827-3098. We have
tentatively scheduled the next sampling event for the week of
December 5, .1588. Please: do not hesitate to call if you have any
questions regarding this project.
Sincerely,
Ap lied GeoSystems
John Bailey Bobbitt
R.G. 4313
Gillian S.
