MOR <br /> r <br /> December 16, 1986 AGS 86102-1 <br /> Beacon Service Station 43-492 - Manteca, California <br /> under the observation of a geologist from Applied Geosystems on <br /> December 2 and 3, 1986. <br /> During drilling, soil samples were collected at five foot <br /> i <br /> intervals using a modified California split spoon sampler <br /> equipped with laboratory-cleaned brass sleeves. Descriptions of <br /> earth materials encountered in the soil'borings are presented on <br /> the Boxing Logs, Plates P-4 through P-9. Plate P-3 gives a <br /> summary of the Unified Soils Classification System used to <br /> { <br /> identify the soils. The earth materials encountered at the site <br /> �. consist predominately of sand with some silt and minor gravel. <br /> s <br /> Some soil cuttings from the borings were subjectively analyzed as <br /> having small concentrations of hydrocarbon contamination.
