' Former Beacon Station No. 12474 March 18,2002 <br /> Stockton California Problem Assessment Report/Corrective Action Plan <br /> • A catalytic oxidizer (Cat-Ox) for the treatment of extracted soil vapors; concentrations of <br /> TPHg from vapor extraction well VW-2 ranged up to 13,000 ppm; <br /> • Appropriate flow controllers, sampling ports, and pressure and air temperature sensors. <br /> + Operation and maintenance (O&M) of the SVES to ensure compliance with operating <br /> permits. <br /> • Compressed air conveyance piping in trenches from the remediation compound to air <br /> sparge well AS-1, monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-12, and potentially an additional air <br /> sparge well (AS-2) east of monitoring well MW-10 (Figure 9); <br /> • An approximately 5 cubic feet per minute, oilless electrically-driven compressor; and <br /> Appropriate flow controller, sampling ports, and pressure and air temperature sensors. <br /> 10.3 Required Permits <br /> At a minimum, the operation of the remediation systems would require a permit from the <br /> San Joaquin Valley Air Quality Management District (SJVAQMD). Air discharge permits <br /> are routinely issued for SVE systems. A permit from the City of Stockton for the discharge <br /> of treated groundwater into the sanitary sewer system is required to operate a groundwater <br /> extraction. According to the Environmental Control Officer at the City of Stockton <br /> Wastewater Control Division, wastewater discharge permits are approved for such <br /> operations. <br /> 10.4 Implementation Schedule <br /> Horizon understands that the SJCEHD review process allows for public comment regarding <br /> . the proposed corrective action.
