Former Beacon Station No. 12474 March 18,2002
Stockton California Problem Assessment Report/Corrective Action Plan
will contact Ultramar with the results of the public review process. At that time, Horizon or
Ultramar will address any appropriate questions or comments, then proceed with scheduling
of the proposed remedial systems installation work. The projected schedule for
implementation of the proposed remedial action is later in 2002, depending on the public
review and permit approval processes.
10.5 Proposed Verification Monitoring
Quarterly groundwater monitoring would continue to be performed to evaluate plume
concentration trends and stability, bio-attenuation.parameters, and verify the effectiveness of
the remedial systems. Petroleum hydrocarbon constituent concentrations in groundwater
should decrease because of the corrective actions and attain a level at which natural
attenuation could proceed with measurable results. If the groundwater sampling indicates
decreasing concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater over time,
it is Horizon's opinion that the site would eventually qualify for Site Closure.
s
11.0 DISTRIBUTION
A copy of this investigation results report should be forwarded to:
Mr. Gordon Boggs Mr. Michael Infurna Jr.
Regional Water Quality Control Board San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Central Valley Region Environmental Health Division
3443 Routier Road, Suite A 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Sacramento, California 95827-3098 Stockton, California 95201-0388
474PARCAP3-02.doc 23
Project No. 1474.23 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC.
