1 .0 Introduction <br /> BLACK & VEA <br /> TCH Waste Science, Inc (Waste Science) was retained by the <br /> East Bay Municipal Utility District (District) on June 24, 1993, to perform an <br /> additional site assessment, groundwater monitoring, and remediation services at the <br /> ' District's Stockton Service Center (Stockton site) Based on conclusions presented <br /> in Waste Science's Additional Site Assessment and Remedial Options Report, December <br /> 1993 (ASA/RO Report), and the results of the January 1994 slug tests conducted at <br /> ' the site Alternative 3 ini <br /> s to bioremediation, was selected by the Distract, in <br /> ' consultation with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br /> Health Division (SJCPHS), as the preferred remedial alternative The <br /> January 24, 1994, letter from the SJCPHS directing the District to prepare this <br /> ' Addendum is included in Appendix A This remedial action plan (RAP) is being <br /> submitted as Addendum No 1 to the ASA/RO Report, and outlines the scope of <br /> ' work proposed to implement the preferred alternative <br /> The RAP was prepared based on results from previous investigations described <br /> in the ASA/RO Report, information gathered during the March 25, 1994, site walk, <br /> and in accordance with the following guidance documents <br /> ' • State of California, Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Field Manual, October <br /> 1989 <br /> ' 0 California Regional Water g ate Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay <br /> ' Region, Th-Regtonal Board Staff Recommendations forPrehminary Evaluation <br /> and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites, October 1990 <br /> ' • San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division, <br /> Site Mitigation Program Guidelines for Work Plan and Report Submittal, June <br /> ' 1993 <br /> 9488 East Bay Municipal Utility District <br /> 40429601 rap Remedial Action Plan <br />
