1 .1 Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work for implementing the preferred alternative will include the <br /> following tasks <br /> ' Task 1 Remedial design This task includes developing the details of applying <br /> the bioremediation technology to the Stockton site Waste Science, <br /> together with its bioremediation subcontractor, Aprotek, will determine <br /> the initial start-up conditions (extraction rates, enzyme feed rate)for the <br /> bioremediation pilot test The "long term" operating conditions for the <br /> system will be determined at the completion of the pilot test Permits <br /> for operating the remedial system will be obtained under this task <br /> Task 2 Extraction/Infection well placement This task involves the design and <br /> placement of the extraction and injection wells necessary for the <br /> remediation Well construction permits will be obtained under this task <br /> Task 3 Field Activities This task includes the installation of the extraction and <br /> injection wells, installation of the required pumps, piping and holding <br /> tank, and the bioremediation pilot test <br /> ' Task 4 Remediation This task includes the "long term" operation of the <br /> remediation system Based on initial estimates of the site conditions, it <br /> is anticipated that the duration of the remediation will be approximately <br /> two to four weeks (including mobilization and demobilization time) <br /> ' Waste Science and its subcontractor will be responsible for the <br /> operation of the remediation system during this task <br /> ' Task 5 Monitoring This task involves monitoring the groundwater at the site <br /> for a period of one year following completion of the remediation <br /> i ' Without long term verification monitoring, the effectiveness of the <br /> remediation cannot be determined, and site closure cannot be obtained <br /> ' from the regulatory agencies <br /> 94R$ Last Bay Municipal Utility Distnct <br /> 40429601 rap 2 Remedial Action Plan <br />
