r
! /o
+ KLEiNFELDER
7 FINDINGS AND RECo&,mENDATIONS
j
I 7.1 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
^ Bused on the field investigation and analytical results, the following findings are presented:
o Four soul borings were drilled to a maximum of approximately 23 feet
o Three ground water monitoring wells were installed to depths of approximately 24
feet.
a Eight soil samples were analyzed. Total hydrocarbons were detected in soils from
borings B-1 and B-2. Toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes were detected in soil
M
J
samples from boring B-2.
t -
o Tbree ground water monitoring wells were purged, sampled and samples were
analyzed for hydrocarbon constituents on two occasions. The ground water sample
from monitoring.well MW-1 contained detectable concentrations of TPH(at 4,300
u 1 , benzene at 250 u ethyl g/) ( g/1), y benzene(at 30 ug/1),and xylenes {at 280 ug/1)
(June sampling). Ground water samples from MW-2 and MW-3 were none
detected for the parameters analyzed.
-, - Q Ground water generally flows towards the southwest beneath the site. - -
o Ground water analytical results and flow direction indicate an on-site source. t
o One ground water production well was located approximately 500 yards to the
southwest. This well appears not to have been in use in the recent past.
o Additional on-site tanks have been removed.
r
yr it -
. k, a E13MUD-001.89-001 17
iy Y
y >
r c
rZZ
3
