3.0 PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br /> 3.1 OVEREXCAVATION. <br /> 3.1.1 Based on the close proximity of all the tanks on site, the non-detected levels <br /> of the tank 500 gal south and hardpan layer at approximately 7 feet below <br /> rgrade, it is our opinion that the residual hydrocarbons are isolated in the <br /> upper 10 feet and are most likely a result of spillage from overfills. It is our <br /> opinion that the residual hydrocarbons can be remediated by overexcavation <br /> of the subject area around the 250 gal north and south. (see 4.0 for our <br /> Proposed Scope of Work). Upon completion of our Proposed Scope of Work, <br /> we will prepare a report of findings and our recommendations for closure <br /> based on case closure checklist dated March 1, 1994. <br /> I , <br />
