4.0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
4.1 SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
4.1.1 EnviroSearch will prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan.
4.2 SITE EXCAVATION
4.2.1 EnviroSearch will excavate both laterally and vertically until all visual and
P.I.D. readings of contamination have been removed.
4.2.2 Excavated soils will be stockpiled on A/C and composite sampled.
4.3 MATION SAMPLING
4.3.1 EnviroSearch will collect five (5) discrete confirmation samples. One (1) from
bottom of excavation, and one (1) from each side wall one foot off bottom of
excavation.
{ 4.3.2 Samples will be collected in brass tubes from excavator bucket. Tubes will
+ be sealed with teflon end caps and placed on ice for delivery to F.G.L.
Laboratories, a state certified lab, under chain-of-custody.
4.4 SAMPLE ANALYSIS
4.4.1 EnviroSearch will analyze for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as gasoline,
benzene, toluene, xylene, and ethyl benzene (BTX&E) 8015, 8020).
4.5 EXCAVATION BACKFILL
4.5.1 EnviroSearch will back fill excavation with clean imported backfill after
excavation is determined to be free of contamination
co,,ntamination based on laboratory test
results.
