SAMPLING <br /> USA STATION#110 <br /> 2132 EAST MARIPOSA ROAD <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> Dear Mr. Dasappa: <br /> This letter presents the soil sampling analytical results associated with the November, 1997 <br /> underground storage tank (UST) and fuel distribution line replacement activities at the subject <br /> site, as shown on Figures 1 and 2_ <br /> Sampling Activities <br /> On November 17, 1997, three 12,000-gallon unleaded, premium and regular gasoline UST's and <br /> one 3,000-gallon diesel UST were removed by USA Gasoline Corporatism (USA). Excavation <br /> soil sample locations and depths are shown on Figure 3. <br /> The excavation consisted of elle removal of four USTs and associated product lines on November <br /> 17, through 24, 1997. A GHH representative collected soil samples from the product line <br /> trenches and the area exposed during the UST removals. Soil samples collected from the product <br /> lines were collected at the depths and locations shown on Figure 3. The samples were collected <br /> at locations requested by Ms. Letisha Briggs with San Joaquin County Public Health Services. A <br /> total of six soil samples were collected alone the product line (P-1 through P-6) and seven soil <br /> samples were collected 6-om below the dispenser plumbing (D-1 througli D-7). <br /> Approximately 400 cubic yards of soil were excavated during the removal of the UST's. The <br /> excavated soil was placed on visquene for classification,prior to disposal. 'I-lie stockpiled soil <br /> was covered with visquene following the completion of excavation activities. The excavated soil <br /> was disposed of by USA at Forward Landfill between November 17, and 24, 1997. <br /> Twelve sail samples were collected from the UST excavation spoils pile on November 17, 1997 <br /> slid composited into three samples.
