As of
April 3, the preliminary assessments for both tanks have been completed. The engineer noted
several minor repairs that are necessary before the tanks can receive their Title 22 certifications.
In summary, both the waste oil and waste antifreeze tanks need: to be anchored, secondary
containment for the collection trough and pipe, secondary containment for the transfer pump and
transfer line, steel plugs to replace aged plastic plugs, certifications for the overfill devices and
gauge calibration, additional signage, and lastly, the tanks both need to be grounded. Attached
please find the preliminary reports for your review.
We are currently working with Bagley Equipment Company to make all the necessary repairs in
order to obtain the Title 22 certifications for the tanks. Once complete, the certifications will be
submitted to your office for review. In addition, the current assessments and certifications for each
tank will be kept onsite.
If you have any questions, please call me at 468-3066.
Sincerely,
KIMBRA ANDREWS
Management Analyst I
KA:sc
P:\HHW\HHW Facilities\PHHWCF\6-29-07 Inspectiondank assessment.doc
c: Muniappa Naidu, Senior REHS
HA 80004D
