Wilson, R.E.H.S. <br />Margaret Lagorio, R.E.H.S. <br />Robert McClellon, R.E.H.S. <br />Mark Barcellos, R.E.H.S. <br />RE: Lovelace Transfer Station - Proposal for Collection, Transportation, and <br />Recycling of Electronic Waste (e -waste). <br />Dear Ms. Hudson: <br />This letter is concerning a submitted document for a proposed a -waste "Collection, <br />Transportation, and Recycling" operation at the Lovelace Transfer Station. <br />Based on the information provided in the document, the Environmental Health <br />Department (EHD) has determined that the proposed changes are not covered under the <br />existing Transfer Processing Report (TPR); therefore, an amended TPR will need to be <br />submitted for further assessment. <br />Pursuant to Title 27 CCR Section 21665 and Title 14 CCR Section 18221.6, the existing <br />TPR will need to be amended (to include the proposed a -waste operation). Please take <br />into consideration the following comments to be incorporated into the amended TPR: <br />Document <br />Page Number EHD Comments <br />Page 7 <br />(Overview): Document notes "Lovelace Transfer Station to be used as the <br />primary dismantling location as 70% of the electronics collected in <br />the County." <br />Provide a site map and a description of the a -waste operation at the <br />Lovelace facility. Show drawing of building/structure and layout <br />of the operations area, including, but not limited to, unloading, <br />storage, loading, and parking areas, and flow of traffic. <br />
