Used oil <br />filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," <br />and marked with an accumulation start date. This container was labeled with all the required information at the time of <br />inspection. This was corrected on site. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />704 <br />CCR 66273.33(b) Failed to properly manage universal waste lamps. <br />One open cardboard box of lamps was observed adjacent to the main facility entrance. Universal waste lamps shall <br />be stored in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. Any broken universal waste lamps and <br />releases shall be immediately cleaned and containerized. This container was closed at the time of inspection. Ensure <br />that all universal waste lamps are stored in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. This was <br />corrected on site. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class H. <br />712 <br />CCR 66273.34 Failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. <br />One 55 -gallon container of "sealed lead acid batteries" was stored inside the facility and was labeled as <br />"non -hazardous waste" and lacked the required "Universal Waste" designation on its label. Universal waste shall be <br />marked with the words "Universal Waste" and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps, <br />electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass) and shall have identification for accumulation time limits. Immediately label <br />these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required information, ensure that all universal <br />waste containers are marked as required.
