One 55 -gallon black metal container was labeled as "recyclable material (fuel filters)". Fuel filters <br />shall be stored in containers that are designed to prevent ignition of the gasoline and labeled "used oil <br />and gasoline filters." Immediately provide proper labeling for this container and ensure that all fuel filter <br />containers are marked with all the required information. Submit proof of correction to the EHD. <br />804. Used fluorescent bulbs were observed in two open cardboard boxes located inside the facility <br />(adjacent to the main facility entrance), at least one of the lamps inside one of the boxes was broken. <br />Universal waste lamps shall be contained in a closed container or package that is structurally sound, <br />adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Immediately containerize <br />all universal waste fluorescent lamps/bulbs in accordance with Title 22 regulations and immediately <br />clean up and place in a container any lamp that is broken. Submit proof of correction to the EHD. <br />9999. One black plastic container (tote) storing bulk latex paint had a "non -hazardous" waste label, <br />which listed hazardous properties of the stored material as "toxic". Containers of excluded recyclable <br />materials (ERM) shall be marked with the accurate information as follows (HSC 25143.9): <br />1. the words "Excluded Recyclable Material" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Ensure that all hazardous waste is accurately marked with the required information and no conflicting <br />information is present on waste labels. Submit proof of correction to the EHD. <br />NOTE: This facility generated 18.35 tons of universal waste in 2014, and 22.56 tons in 2013.
