One plastic tote containing numerous paint related containers was observed onsite and had an <br />incomplete label. The existing label lacked an accumulation start date and was labeled as "emptied <br />daily"; this container was noted on Monday morning (June 30, 2014) and the facility has not been in <br />operation since Saturday (June 28, 2014) and as such, the aforementioned container was not emptied at <br />the end of the work day. All hazardous waste containers which store hazardous waste shall be marked <br />with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label this container and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the <br />required information. <br />605. Several mislabeled containers were located in the drum storage area. One yellow 55 -gallon <br />container had a label describing its contents as "water, oil, petroleum distillates, incinerate' and had <br />physical properties listed as "solid, sludge". Thee blue containers with compressed gas cylinders (in <br />drums ranging between 15 gallons 30 gallons) had a non -hazardous waste label and had hazardous <br />properties listed as "flammable'. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the accurate <br />information as follows: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Ensure that all hazardous waste is accurately marked with the required information and no conflicting <br />information is present on the waste labels.
