06 April 2012
AGE-NC Project No. 07-1587
depths between 45 feet and 60 feet bsg; while limited detections of PID values above
background readings were observed. The highest PID value was observed in boring B6 at
55 feet bsg.
In all the borings, first ground waterwas encountered between approximately 20 to 25 feet
bsg. Boring logs are provided in Appendix A. Boring logs for B6 through B8 were uploaded
to the State Water Board GeoTracker site; confirmation numbers are 1254989564,
4782254815, 2278195977, respectively.
3.2. HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED SOIL
A total of 15 soil samples from the five soil borings and were analyzed for the constituents
listed in Section 2.2. The following target analytes were detected:
• TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in three soil samples analyzed from boring B6 with
maximum concentration of 190 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg; 136-35 TPH-d);
lesser concentrations were detected in samples 66-55 and 66-60 at 2.0 mg/kg and
1.6 mg/kg, respectively. TPH-d were not detected in the remaining soil samples
analyzed from borings.
• Total xylenes was detected in samples 66-55 and 66-60 at concentrations of
0.029 mg/kg and 0.022 mg/kg total xylenes, respectively.
• 1,2 -DCA was not detected in soil samples analyzed from borings.
• VOCs were detected in the soil samples from boring B6 at low concentrations.
• No other target analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in any
of the soil samples analyzed from borings B7 and B8.
Analytical results of soil samples are summarized on Table 1. Laboratory reports (CTEL
Project No. CT214-1202005 and 1202046), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)
reports, and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B. Laboratory electronic
deliverable format (EDF) files were QA/QC checked and uploaded to the State Water
Board GeoTracker site; confirmation numbers are (4797057390 and 7486098527)
3.3. HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED GROUNDWATER
A total of six grab ground water samples collected from soil borings and analyzed for the
constituents listed in Section 2.2. The following target analytes were detected:
Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc.
