12 November 2010
AGE-NC Project No. 907-1587
Survey data was uploaded to GeoTracker and correspond to confirmation numbers
(Survey X-Y) 2692315638 and (Survey Z)1836254298. A new survey map and site plan
were uploaded to GeoTracker and correspond to confirmation numbers (survey)
8461350798 and (Geomap) 3591269254.
2.4. MONITORING WELL SAMPLING
On 08 October 2010, quarterly ground water monitoring event was conducted utilizing site
wells MW-1A through MW-4B; all wells were sampled. The monitoring event was
performed according to AGE's standard monitoring and sampling procedures, provided in
Appendix E. Field data and logs are provided in Appendix C. No additional exceptions to
AGE's standard procedures were noted.
3.0. FINDINGS
The hydrocarbon-impact to ground water was quantified by laboratory analysis of the
ground water samples. Ground water elevation and gradient was determined by utilizing
data collected from the field. Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were
determined from field data collected on 08 October 2010. Hydrocarbon-impact to ground
water was quantified by laboratory analytical data.
3.1. DEPTH TO GROUNDWATER AND STRATIGRAPHY
Depths to ground water ranged from 20.28 (MW-1 A)feet to 23.00 (MW-3B)feet below the
tops of the five new well casings. Dominantly fine-grained soil consisting of silt, silty clay,
sandy clay, and sandy silt were encountered at depths sampled from 5 feet to 60 feet bsg.
Boring log and well completion logs for these wells are included in Appendix B. Based on
the findings from the previous soil borings, with existing monitoring well and soil boring
data, the well were installed in the material representing the localized water bearing units
at the site.
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SAMPLES
No constituents of concern were reported in any soil samples.
Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g)were detected in the ground
water samples collected from the wells MW-1A, MW-16 and MW-213 at a maximum
concentration of 8,500 microgram per liter (Ng/1). TPH-d was detected in the ground water
Advanced GeoEnvironmen[al,Inc.
