Preliminary Site Assessment Report <br /> CANCUN RESTAURANT <br /> 135 East Miner Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Michael Griffin, consultant for St. John's Episcopal Church, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Report for <br /> Cancun Restaurant at 135 East Miner Avenue, Stockton, California(site). Initial scope of work <br /> included advancement of five soil borings and collection of soil and ground water samples. Site <br /> location is illustrated on Figure 1. Site Background information with historical soil sampling is <br /> summarized in Appendix A. <br /> Soil boring advancement procedures were outlined in the AGE-prepared Preliminary Site <br /> Assessment Work Plan (Work Plan), dated 07 April 2008 and approved with modifications by the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). This report has been prepared in <br /> accordance with the EHD directive letter(Appendix B) dated 17 April 2008. The work was <br /> conducted in accordance with Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CV-RWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. SOIL BORINGS <br /> Field work was performed in accordance with procedures outlined in the Work Plan.A chronology <br /> of the site investigation is as follows: <br /> • 02 June 2008-Advancement of soil boring B2 to a total depth of 60 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg); <br /> • 03 June 2008-Advancement of soil borings B5 and B4 to total depths of 60 feet and 50 feet <br /> bsg, respectively; <br /> • 04 June 2008 -Advancement of soil boring B 1 to a total depth of 54 feet bsg, the depth of <br /> boring refusal; and <br /> • 09 June 2008 - Advancement of soil boring B3 to a total depth of 53 feet bsg, the depth of <br /> boring refusal. <br /> 2.1. DRILLING <br /> Soil borings were advanced at the site utilizing a van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing <br /> unit equipped with 1.125-inch probing rods.Borings were advanced to varying depths.
