Former Unocal Service Station #0187 <br /> October 9, 1995 <br /> DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> Groundwater beneath the subject site and site vicinity has been impacted by petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons Soil beneath and adjacent to the old USTs has been impacted by petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons The presence of hydrocarbon impacted soil from the base of the old UST <br /> pit to groundwater appears to indicate that some hydrocarbon impact to groundwater is due <br /> to the old USTs However, the presence of high concentrations of TPHg and benzene in <br /> the groundwater sample from well U-7 (5,400 and 620 ppb, respectively), immediately <br /> downgradient of a known former service station at 448 East Miner Avenue, suggests that <br /> some of the impacted groundwater beneath the subject site is due to an off-site source <br /> a <br /> 482704-3 8 <br />
