O6 March 2007
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0185
AGE proposes to advance four(three off-site) soil borings using direct-push technology to collect
soil samples and grab ground water samples. The direct-push soil borings will be advanced to
appropriate depths to collect grab ground water samples. AGE anticipates ground water to stabilize
at a depth of approximately 23 to 25 feet below surface grade (bsg) based upon ground water
monitoring data collected at the site.
Additionally, the scope will include the destruction of well MW-5. The well casing and screen are
damaged and cannot be used for the intended purpose as a monitoring well.
2.2.1. Pilot Borings
Proposed pilot borings/ground water monitoring well locations and designations are in relation to
the center of the site's UST area and discussed in detail below:
MW-6: Located off-site on the north side Milgeo Avenue in the City of Ripon right-
of-way (ROW) (landscape: dirt area between road and private property),
approximately 125 feet and 300 degrees from the center of the site's former
UST area(near the location of impacted ground water at boring P6).
MW-7: Located off-site on north side Milgeo Avenue in the City of Ripon ROW
(landscape), approximately 65 feet and 360 degrees from the center of the
site's former UST area(near the location of impacted ground water at well
MW-1).
MW-8: Located off-site on the west side of Wilma Avenue in the City of Ripon
ROW(landscape),approximately 150 feet and 20 degrees from the center of
the site's former UST area.
MW-9: Located off-site on the east side of Wilma Avenue in the City of Ripon ROW
(landscape), approximately 160 feet and 45 degrees from the center of the
site's former UST area.
2.2.2.
