06 March 2007 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 95-0185 <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br /> Soil samples from direct-push soil borings will be collected using a soil sampler with brass sleeves <br /> from each borehole at each five-foot intervals, beginning at five feet bsg. Sampling procedures are <br /> described in Section 3.3.. <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services(DHS) <br /> -certified laboratory for the following constituents: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8015M; <br /> • Benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene and xylene(BTEX)in accordance with EPA Method 8260; <br /> and <br /> • Fuel additives methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl <br /> ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether(ETBE) and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8260. -- AO,) 1, Z- I>c.h L E�13 Far b.c-� Gov 1 3 r% <br /> Following sample collection,each preserved sample sleeve will be labeled with the boring location, <br /> depth,time,date,and sampler's initials. Appropriately sealed and labeled samples will be placed in <br /> a chilled container under ice and transported under chain-of-custody procedure to a DHS-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis of constituents discussed above. Laboratory reports for the soil analyses, <br /> testing methods,laboratory quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of <br /> custody documentation will be presented in a report with findings and recommendations. <br /> 2.4.2. Grab Ground Water Collection and Analysis <br /> Grab ground water samples will be collected from each direct-push soil boring at approximately 23 <br /> to 25 feet bsg (first encountered ground water) and depths previously sampled,and a total depth of <br /> 60 feet bsg. Laboratory reports for the ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory QA/QC <br /> reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with findings and <br /> recommendations. Sampling procedures are described in Section 3.4.. <br /> 2.5. DESTRUCTION OF WELL MW-5 <br /> Monitoring well MW-5 was lost during industrial activities at the site and relocated on 08 August <br /> 2006 in badly damaged and non-reparable condition.
