10
March 2003
AGE-NC Project No 95-0185
' DR,= Corrected depth to water
D,=Measured depth to water
t,:= Total thickness of free product
dg= Density of free product (diesel at—0 8$ g/ml)
dH,= Density of water (-1 0 gn-i/ml)
' Groundwater elevation, based on the measurements collected with the Solinst product probe, ranged
from 35 93 feet (MW-4) to 36 06 feet (MW-5) above paean sea level (rnsl) Based on the ground
' water elevations from wells MW-1 through MW-5, the ground water flow was inferred to radiate
inward from southeast to northeast at gradients of 0 002 ft/ft and less
' 3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-d was detected in ground water samples collected from ground water samples MW-1 and
MW-4 at concentrations of 20,000 micrograms per liter(p,g/1) and 93,000 µ.g/1,respectively TPH-g
was detected in samples MW-1 and MW-4 at concentrations of 1,400 p.g/1 and 6,700 µg/l,
' . respectively In addition, the BTEX compounds ethylbenzene, toluene and total xylenes were
detected in sample MW-4 at concentrations of 1 8 µg/1, 2 1 µg/1 and 8 4 µg/l, respectively
No other target analytes were detected In the analyzed samples Current and previous analytical
results are summanzPd in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report(CTEL Laboratory I D Nos 00102-
059-01 to -05), quality control and quality assurance data(QA/QC) and chain-of-custody form are
included in Appendix C
4.0. CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected during this monitoring period, AGE concludes
• Ground water flow at the time of the February 2003 ground water monitonng event was
inferred to be radiating inward from southeast to northeast, at a gradient of approximately
0 002 ft/ft Due to the low ground water gradients at the site, small variations in ground
water measurements caused by the presence of free product could modify the inferred
ground water flow direction
' The concentrations- of TPH-d and TPH-g,mcreased- m well MW-1, but decreased
significantly in well MW-4 TPH-d was not detected in wells MW-2 and MW-3 during the
' first quarter 2003 Ground water does not appeared to be impacted in the area of-well.MW-2,
MW-3 nor MW-5
• Free product has been present in wells MW-1 and MW-4 since the June 2002 ground water
' monitoring event
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
