INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the Estate of Chester Farris (property owner),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> ' (AGE)has prepared the enclosed quarterly report for 545 East Miner Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> (the site) The scope of work Included monitoring and sampling five groundwater monitoring wells <br /> and preparation of this report The site and its surroundings are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, <br /> ' probe boring, soil sample and monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2 <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> ' (CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigations ofUST sites Site history and findings from previous site <br /> investigations are summarized in Appendix A,the results ofprevious monitoring events are included <br /> ' in the tables of this report <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The investigation was conducted in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) and the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department(EHD)for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites <br /> and sampling of ground water monitoring wells,respectively <br /> 1 <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> ' On 30 September 2002, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 relative to the tops of the well casings <br /> 1 After ground water depth measurements were collected, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 <br /> were purged using dedicated, disposable plastic bailers, well MW-5 was purged with a two-stage <br /> ' PVC pump Between 21/4 and 3 gallons of water (a minimum of three casing volumes) were <br /> evacuated from wells MW-1 through MW-4,approximately 19 gallons ofwater were evacuated from <br /> MW-5 Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at 3/4-to 5-gallon intervals <br /> ' during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field data and logs are included in Appendix B <br /> ' 2 2 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> ' Water samples were collected from the monitoring wells using dedicated,disposable plastic bailers <br /> after allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80% recovery of the pre-purge water volume <br /> 1 Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc <br />
