1
1 04 December 2002
AGE-NC Project No 00-0764
3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
The results of laboratory analysis of ground water samples collected at the site on 30 September
2002 are as follows
' • TPH-g was detected in the samples from ground water monitonng wells MW-3,MW-4 and
MW-5 at concentrations of 430 micrograms per liter (µg11), 280 µg11 and 220 µg11,
respectively
• Benzene was detected in the sample from monitoring wells MW-3 and MW-4 at
' concentrations of 7 µg/1 benzene and 16 µg/1,respectively In addition,toluene and xylenes
were detected in the sample collected from well MW-5 at concentrations of 2 µg11 and
2 4 µg/1, respectively
' • DIPE was detected in the samples collected from wells MW-3 through MW-5 at
concentrations of 2 8 µg/1, 3 5 µg/1 and 14 µg/1,respectively 1,2-DCA was detected in the
samples collected from wells MW-3 and MW-4 at concentrations of 15 µg/1 and 4 6 µg/l,
respectively 1,1-DCA was detected in the samples collected from wells MW-2,MW-3 and
MW-4 at concentrations of 13 µg/1, 11 µg/1 and 8 6 µg11, respectively
• In addition,cis,1,2-dichloroethane and n-propylbenzene were detected in samples MW-3 and
MW-4 at maximum concentrations of 14µg/1 and 3 1 µg/1,respectively, isopropylbenzene
was detected in sample MW-3 at 15 µg11, and 1,3,5-tnmethylbenzene and 1,2,4-
1 tnmethylbenzene were detected in sample MW-5 at concentrations of 2 0 µg/1 and 3 5 µg/1,
respectively
No additional target analytes were detected in the samples analyzed Laboratory results of samples
analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in Table 2 and Table 3 The laboratory reports
' (CTEL Laboratory ID 0210-003-1 through-6),quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC)reports
and chain-of-custody form is included in Appendix C
' 4.4. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon the results of this quarterly monitoring event, AGE concludes
• Ground water flow direction was inferred to be towards the east at a gradient of
' approximately 0 005 ft/ft
• The highest concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected m the sample
' collected from well MW-3, near the former UST location
' Advanced CeoEnvironmentai,Inc
