' 22 May 2000 .
• AGE-NC Project No. 98-0432
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this investigation:
' The prevailing ground water flow direction at the site is generally north/northeast.
• TPH was detected in two ground water wells at the site.
MTBE was detected in ground water samples at the site during this monitoring event. The
concentrations of MTBE detected in well MW-1 have tripled over the last quarter and
' concentrations of MTBE detected in well MW-2 have doubled over the same. The detected
MTBE concentrations exceed the State of California maximum contaminant level (MCL) of
14 ,ugll.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based on the results of this investi ation, AGE recommends:
• A quarterly monitoring event should be scheduled for August 2000.
• Preparation of a work plan for additional assessment of MTBE in soil and ground water.
Additionally, to control the off-site migration of MTBE, interim plume control should be
considered.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points (i.e. ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may
' vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvirnnmental,Inc.
