INTRODUCTION - - - <br /> _ - In accordance with the request of Mr Russell Chapin,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc , (AGE), <br /> --has r - - <br /> µ =- prepared this Quarterly Report of field activities conducted at 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue, <br /> ' = Stockton, California Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were performed on 21 January <br /> 1997 The location of'the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure I - Location Map - <br /> Structures and well locations ar_e illustrated in Figure 2 -Site Plan <br /> The ground-water monitoring activities'w ere performed in accordance with guidelines for , <br /> _ investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites established by the Spin Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services - Environimental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water <br /> _ = Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> �i -`2 O. BACKGROUND <br /> HISTORICAL SITE USAGC <br /> ' The site=was operated as a gasoline service station from the late 1930's to December 1990 Three <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) ulereiused to dispense gasoline at the site Additional tanks were <br /> 2added at the site,between 1941-and 1975 The site has operated as an automotive repair facility since <br /> " 1991 <br /> The site is currently occupied by a single L-shaped building, which hooses the auto repair business <br /> -The building is surrounded-to the north and west by an asphalt-paved parking area Residences are <br /> -located`south and east of the - V <br /> site <br /> 22 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> In August 1993, one 550-gallon waste oil UST, two 4,000-gallon gasoline USTs and two 8,000- <br /> _ - gallon gasoline USTs were removed from the site by Jim Thorpe Oil of Lodi, California The tanks <br /> ' were removed from the north-central portion of the property During removal, three additional USTs <br /> were discovered near the western portion of the property and removed These tanks were apparently <br /> - =aband6ned in place However, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental <br /> i Health Division had no record of the abandonment Results of analyses of soil samples collected at - <br /> ' the time of the tank removals indicated that petfoleum hydrocarbons have impacted soil at the site <br />
