• 30 June 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0103 <br /> Page 4of7 <br /> ' 3 1 GROUND WATER TREATMENT RESULTS <br /> I <br /> i <br /> Between 27 December 2002 and 15 April 2003, the pump-and-treat system was in operation for <br /> 109 days Utilizing a Blue-White Industries F-2000 flow meter, the total flow (totalizer) was <br /> recorded between those dates (Table 4) Approximately 461,765 gallons of extracted water was <br /> treated, for a total of 2,139,002 gallons of water treated since ground water extraction began on <br /> ' 02 Apnl-2002 <br /> ' 3 1 1 Laboratory Analysis of Influent and Effluent Ground Water Samples <br /> TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected In the following influent samples <br /> - TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected In the influent sample collected on 09 January <br /> ' at concentrations of 3,500 micrograms/liter(gg/1)TPH-g, 120µg/l benzene,7 6µg11 toluene, <br /> 6 8 µg/l ethylbenzene and 340 µg11 xylenes <br /> - TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in Influent samples collected on <br /> , . 17 February from wells EW-1, EW-2, EW-3 and VW-6 at maximum concentrations of <br /> 13,000 gg/l TPH-g (VW-6), 340 gg/1 benzene (EW-3), and 87 gg/l toluene, 530 µ,g11 <br /> ethylbenzene and 1,400 pg/l xylenes in sample VW-6 <br /> ' - TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in influent samples collected on 24 March from <br /> wells EW-1, EW-2, EW-3 and VW-6 at maximum concentrations of 14,000 gg/l TPH-g, <br /> ' 1,200 gg/l benzene, 140 µg/1 toluene and 2,100 µg/1 xylenes in sample EW-3 , and 750 µg11 <br /> ethylbenzene In EW-I <br /> ' - TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in influent samples collected on 15 April from <br /> wells EW-1, EW-2, EW-3 and VW-6 at maximum concentrations of 11,000 gg/l TPH-g, <br /> 840 gg/l benzene, 91 gg/1 toluene and 1,400 µg/1 xylenes In sample EW-3 and 460 gg/1 <br /> ' ethylbenzene in sample VW-6 <br /> TPH-g/d BTEX compounds and MTBE were not detected in the effluent ground water treatment <br /> ' samples analyzed The analytical results are summarized In Table 4,laboratory reports are provided <br /> In Appendix B <br /> ' <br /> 312 Mass-Volume Removal Calculations <br /> ' During the first quarter 2003, an estimated 0 858 lbs of benzene and 27 78 lbs of TPH-g were <br /> • extracted from ground water First quarter 2003 mass-volume calculations from the ground water <br /> ' treatment system are presented in Appendix C <br /> Advanced GmEn"ronmental,Inc <br />
